CBN is a breakdown product of THC that is formed with aging. CBN showed high binding affinities and partial agonism at CB1 and CB2. Additional effects of CBN reported include various actions on TRP channels as well as inhibition of synaptosomal uptake of monoamine neurotransmitters (dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin) and GABA. CBN showes anticonvulsant activity, antiinflammatory, antibiotic, anti-MRSA activity and psoriasis.
